The Sinixt Canoe Journey is a powerful annual ancestral paddle that retraces traditional waterways along the Columbia River. Launching right here from the headwaters in Revelstoke, BC, paddlers will embark on an incredible journey spanning over 500 kilometres down to Kettle Falls, Washington.

More than just a physical feat, this journey is a vital cultural revival. Every stroke of the paddle asserts the enduring Sinixt presence on these lands and waters, carrying forward a legacy that has existed since time immemorial. This year, the journey continues its vital advocacy for the environment and traditional foodways, championing the historic return of salmon to their upper watershed.
